That Schoeps CMIT 5U had the best sound isolation of all and more natural tone then followed by the MKE 600 to my ears.

Thank you for a lovely comparison! the Schoeps is really something, the dialogue was so clear with the best ambient capture. it's exactly in order from the worst to the best (H6, NTG2, MKE 600 to the best CMIT5U)

for the people saying the Schoeps is not up to the bar, put a good pair of headphones and listen carefully to the dialogue.

I really like the way the MKE 600 sounds. Great voice pickup without nearly as much ambient noise in the background as the Zoom H6 or NTG2. The Schoeps CMIT 5u sounds almost as good (to my ears) as the MKE 600, however it sound like it rolls off the treble some. And the fact that all of these were 2 meters from you is all the more impressive. I have been on the fence about picking up a MKE 600 and I think this has gave me the nudge I needed to go forward with the purchase.

Man, I thought the shoeps would blow them all away. So much low frequency presence on that one. I used one on a shoot but didn't have anything with me close to compare it with. It did sound dark when I used it but the only other mic I used that day was a samson co2 and I wouldn't compare them. They're too different.

first thank you for this important comparaison video..if I heard well..the best ones are the H6 Shotgun capsule and the sennheiser MKE 600..the sound of NTG and the CMIT seems coming from a bucket..lol.

finally I have one question : which zoom shotgun capsule used in this comparison? SSH or SGH?

Tack for denna video! Enkel, tydlig och mycket hjälpfull. Jag är fast mellan två olika shotgun-mikrofoner till min Zoom H5. SGH-6 och SSH-6. Jag vill att mikrofonen ska vara så riktad som möjligt och ha ett fylligt ljud. Har läst att SSH-6 är en stereo-mikrofon som även tar upp ljud från sidorna. Kan man stänga av ljudet från sidorna och enbart använda den som en monolog shotgun-mikrofon? Vilken skulle du välja? Eller skulle du ta en Röde NTG1, NTG2 eller Beyerdynamic MCE 85?
