API freshwater master test kit/Review and use

I recently purchased this aquarium water test kit and wanted to share a quick review for anyone needing a good test kit.

One trick I've been doing with this is I use half portion, i fill it only up to halfway of the line and use half the drops it required 5 instead of 10 and 4 instead of 8, my chem will last twice as long

shaking the vials of test solution and the vials is important, it will affect your results and make them accurate.

I picked my test kit up at petsmart today. They price match amazon prime...so I acually got my test kit for 14.00!! SCORE!!

You should really be wearing rubber gloves when handling them chemicals, especially the nitrate #2 bottle, that's stuff is not good

after you test the water using the vials how do you treat a gallon of water to get it to the ph level you desire?

I'm pretty sure 7.6 and 7.4 are misprinted. I mean printed on each other's positions.

All 4 of my tanks are the same color... dark blue! I even tested tap water and it was dark blue too
..

Glass is cool until you crack or shatter those little suckers. They break easily so be careful..

If everything is fine with lava rock as media then why waste money on expensive stuff ? Is there any concrete evidence that Biohome is a better media ?

how do these compare to test strips? Test strips seem more easy but are they less accurate?

hi can you tell me i know the kit last a long time when the bottles are Not open does it say how long they last after the bottle is opened i only have 4 fish lol Do the bottles last only 1 year after opening thanks

How can you tell if the water is good or not

What do you do if one of them is off? Like, how do you know what to add to the tank if your Nitrate is in the bad range?
