The end felt a bit like gratuitous shock value; like, neither characters deserved it happening to them; in fact, they mostly did everything right. But the entire tale was engaging and enjoyable throughout. The couple felt realistic in how they faced the horror and supernatural together. However, this does make the ending even more of a frustrating gut punch.

We used to spend summers in Colorado with our dad and we were always spending weekends in the camper somewhere, anywhere. Anytime he drove through a tunnel he would honk the horn all the way through and tell us kids to wave for the entirety so none of the trolls would feel bad if we hadn't and follow us to flatten our tires. Memories, waving like a GD fool! 😂 I miss him so much. I'm 47. He took his life at 45 after being diagnosed with ALS and having more severe symptoms. Well, that, Vietnam, and alcoholism. Fun fact,

I used to live between colorado and NV when I was really, REALLY young. But I remember this one time going to NV for the winter. We had to get there quickly so we went a different route than normal. And it took us through this oddly desolate little small town. Shit was completely empty. There was a 7/11 with its lights on, but nobody inside and no cars parked outside. There was a Uhaul building and the only "person" there was the cardboard security officer on every other floor. But to the side of the Uhaul building when we passed it was a big ass Truck. Like the kind using for shipping shit across the nation. And without turning on its lights, it pulled onto the road and followed us. It slowly caught up to us, eventually side by side us. I swear I couldnt see anyone on the inside or any lights. Eventually we got further and further away from the town, and the truck slowed down. It eventually made a U-Turn and went back to the town.

Shit was middle of the night, by the way. Even my parents remember that time when I bring it up. I was really scared, I was like four or five.

I love driving through Gold camp! It was hard imagining this story in a tunnel like the Eisenhower-Johnson tunnel, so I pictured the gold camp tunnels instead. There’s some myths about paranormal activity, but I’ve never experienced anything like what people say supposedly happens.

As someone that lives in Colorado I can confirm that these fake tunnels do exist they have taken people And if you're not from Colorado Do not enter any road tunnels That are in Colorado because there aren't any the closest real Road tunnel is going to be near Denver.
