I think the show did a great job of realistically portraying how siblings grow closer and band together as they get older. I remember how mean and snappy they were with each other in earlier seasons.

As much as I wish Andy was the father, I think the writers tried to make it seem as though Dylan will eventually become like Phil.

When I first found out Hayley got pregnant with Dylan's baby, I admit I was disappointed. But then I went and watched the whole show properly and it actually doesn't look as bad as I first thought. Both Dylan and Hayley grew up and were more mature than they were when they first dated. And although their relationship used to look so silly, their rekindled affair actually made sense to me. They understand each other perfectly and they accept each other's flaws. They don't have to pretend they were different people like how Hayley had to sometimes when she was dating Arvin. They already know each other well so there's no need for pretenses anymore.

I really feel like I'm the only one who doesn't mind she ended up with Dylan. Hes so sweet and I think that her time with Andy really helped Haley grow out of that selfish immuture person she was when she was with Dylan before.

I was sad that they didn't end up together but Ive loved Dylan as he's not that stereotypical buff guy that ends up with the 'pretty one' and that fact that even though he's been thought as not being smart and just out right dumb, he's made himself a nurse and that's something that means alot.

My theory: When Claire started dating Phil, Jay wasn’t happy about it and didn’t really like Phil that much. So now Claire is in Jays shoes because she doesn’t like Dylan (Hailey’s Phil) that much . And when Claire got pregnant with Hayley and got married immediately which is what Hayley did with Dylan so it’s basically like history repeating itself.

I wish it was andys baby, that would of been a great way to bring him back into the show and give Haley the ending she deserved, not Dylan...

I kind of wish she would end the show as a single mother who is coparenting with Dylan. I think that really would fall in line with the idea of a modern family. Showing all variations of family models.

If Andy never existed then I would have been fine with Dylan being the father, however the writers created a world with Andy and everyone prefers Andy to Dylan so this is a let down.
