It's kind of sad that people still think the primary audience for Boy Bands are teens. Less than 20% of the BTS ARMY is under 20 years old. I myself am in my 60s and couldn't love them more. Good music is good music, no matter who is putting it out.

Even if BTS makes the decision to disband, I will always be supporting each of the members, because they are not just a boy band, they are people that I truly appreciate as human beings. I didn't just fall in love with a boy band, I'm genuinely convinced that BTS as people are amazing, not just as artists. 💜 They are part of my life and will always be in my heart, they truly save me

BTS is more than just your typical boy band! They have surpassed boy band material they are the phenomenon that has lit up in every country they are recognized globally and they have put an emphasis on important issues in their music! Not only are they very diverse with their different genres of music they have spread their philanthropy from every corner of the earth their generosity their humbleness their kindness and their respect for all people proves only why their fandom is so diverse! Like a well oiled machine BTS and ARMY work together to make The world a better place. There is no comparison to the other boy bands that have come before BTS factually we can state that BTS have surpassed the image of a typical Western boy band! They are a anomaly that is unlike any musical group that has come before them! And though some people have said that BTS is the Beatles of the 21st-century I would not say that is not a bad comparison! But BTS can stand on their own without any comparisons! With the diversity of the fandom the philanthropy houses that both the fan base and BTS have contributed shows the world that we are a very small place and we are all alike and the music that we listen to shows the gap is closing every day because BTS showed us the way! The only thing that I hope that BTS will be able to win a Grammy this year because they deserve it and I’m not putting any of the other artists down because they too also deserve it but I believe BTS deserve it just a little bit more!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Well that's just sad that some boy bands from the past think that they thrive "as long as there are teen agers". 😮

That's like completely disregarding much younger or older ones who tirelessly supported them. Age ranges in ARMY are just massive and BTS acknowledge that. 💜 I mean fangirling in itself is already an incredible experience, but woah am I glad to be in a fandom that gets much attention and love from our Bangtannies in all ages. 💜💜💜

Thank you for giving due recognition to boybands... BTS are one of a kind, a true gem. They are a lot more than a boy band. As a matter of fact, BTS should be considered a "band" or group of artists. They write and compose their own music. Their dance is their instruments.

To Billboard and to media, when will you stop stigmatizing boyband fans as screaming teenagers? It's already 2022 and you still have not learned that fans and music are so diverse. It's like you're putting them in a box so that you can call them square.

I'm sorry but as much as they take inspiration from some of the known boyband tropes,
BTS has become more than that. I dare say from their very beginning, the thought behind their companies logo even, they were meant to mean so much more than the genre or concept they started out as.
I don't see other 'boy bands ' following the type of path these 7 individuals currently are on. Not just them but their CEO Mr Bang and their whole behind the scenes team have come together to produce what I deem worthy of being called art. They are artists. They are a GROUP of artists. And I dare say history will look back at this period in time and wander why we took so long to recognize them and acknowledge all that they have accomplished.

This isn't to degrade other groups. I'm simply stating that they are more than the label boy band. And because we live in a time where people fixate on labels, we need to give these guys the appropriate title then.

I was curious as to how Bilboard was going to deliver this content on boybands. BB Remained on the surface and very light ... BTS, Beetles and Jonas Brothers, they actually produce and write music themselves up to composing the entire instrumental alone. They qualify as bands! to much to say...

The truth is there were are and will be many boybands other than BTS which will set their own records but BTS will always be one of its kind not only because of their hardwork but the problems they had to deal with as an outcast and people coming from a different race they weren't accepted everywhere but they still made history with every move their achievements are unique they achieved achievements considered "untouchable" they broke the records no one thought could be broken and they did all of this as a boyband coming from a small company on the verge of bankruptcy and an asian boy band which had to face xenophobia and racism at many stages, they conquered every corner of the world and will always be legendary and iconic

BTS is definitely in a league of their own and not your typical "boy band". They don't just attract "teenagers" because their art/music resonates with so many around the world. The guy who said "there will always be teenagers" when it comes to "boy bands" clearly wouldn't understand the bond between BTS and ARMY. Yes, each generation will always welcome new teenagers, but the fandom that is ARMY is beyond just that age group. BTS have been working on their solo projects throughout the years, but maintaining their group project as BTS as well. They have their creative freedom and will continue on their artistic path. So no, BTS is not a typical boy band whose audiences are just teenagers. You can say they are a GROUP/BAND of Artists. We're blessed to have them during this generation. Their ART is beyond simply their music. 💜
