There`s also Girls Aloud who were formed on The UK Version of Popstars The Rivals. They are the most successful Reality Show Group of all time. 21 Top Tens, Four Number Ones and Six Platinum Albums. They also made history by going to number one with another Girlband The Sugababes whose hit Record `Too Lost In You`was written by Diane Warren, who wrote Ì Was Here`for Beyonce. They did their version of Walk This Way to raise money for children in need. Cheryl Ann Tweedy (Liam Payne`s Ex Girlfriend One Direction), had Five Solo Number Ones, Three Platinum Albums and two of her Proteges on The X Factor Won. Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry.

This video completely ignores the legacy of 80s heavy-hitters like The Go-Go's, Bangles, Pointer Sisters, Exposé, etc. When it jumped from 70s to 90s, I was like whoa what a complete mess. 80s female groups have been disserviced by the magazine who saw some of their biggest hits and albums reach the upper echelon of the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, not to mention several other charts.

Not trying to throw shade on anyone else's shine, but I needed more air time for the heavily influential and monumental ladies of En Vogue. Their impact in the early 1990s really set a tone like no other, especially for female urban groups. In addition to that, they contributed majorly to the overall DNA of 1990's Girl Group while distinguishing themselves as a commercially successful ensemble of all lead vocalists whose vocal harmonies were easily regarded as the gold standard. Please let's give up to these ladies as one the best that has ever done it.
