How to reset an LG TV without a remote

If you need to reset your LG TV, but don't have the remote anymore, don't worry. There are still pretty easy ways to get it done.

Soft Reset:
1. Hold power button for 10-15 seconds
2. Unplug the TV for 60 seconds

Factory Reset:
1. Use the Thin Q app
2. Use one of these universal remotes

No it does NOT. If you reset to factory, you lose the WiFi setting, thus losing the connectivity to the TV and the LG Things App. You have to use other external connection, that does not require account and password (BT is one)

For after reset without a remote I just used a bluetooth mouse, plugging the usb receiver into the back of the TV. It was that simple!

I have an LG TV. It was in a hotel with Xfinity. This TV doesn't have any options to scan for TV channels. I tried to reset the TV without a remote. No matter what I do the TV remains locked on Xfinity and doesn't have the option to scan for TV channels especially analog using sn antenna. I'll try to hold the power button but, that's what I tried at least 15 times and the TV remains locked without the option to scan for TV channels. So, since I tried your suggestions I eill simply buy a new Smart TV from Walmart instead a few weeks.

Figured out a fix!!! Plug in a USB keyboard and you can fix settings and reset it
