I am not surprised to see perisno be at the top, but what blows my mind is that the hand I lent for something that I think is so small is still intact there…. I am the lore writer for the freelancer guild and I wrote that for them 9 years ago now. It’s truly been an honor to have my name planted within one of Warbands most beloved mods and it still blows my mind to this day.

Great review. I love Perisno and Pendor, Bannerpage is must for Vanilla. I played more or less everything from the list, but The last days of third age is the best for me. it's just awesome.

You will not regret playing Viking Conquest if you like Brytenwalda

I'd definitely give you praise if you made a guide on Nova Aetas; the mod needs more attention, all i wish is that someone would pick it up to hammer out some game-breaking bugs.

Fun to see how many mods still use TLD assets. The giant spiders I did expect, the ancient version of our trolls in one of the top picks - I sure did not. Man, that's some true 2009 tech right there. :))

Agree on Pendor. It's by far the most polished mod with so much new content but it's also by far the grindiest, most tedious Warband experience I've ever had. Every bit of power takes hours to achieve and while I do think that it's rewarding in theory, the amount of busy work you have to do is just unreasonable. And stuff like "Oh btw after this hour-long battle you didn't get Qualis gem, because the leader escaped btw you can't savescum so better fight another 1000man army" or "There was a red brotherhood quest to get 1 easy gem, but in our recent update we made the chance of getting it after talking to a traveler like 0.001% have fun!" or "We've heard that you could exploit sieges by shooting arrows and retreating so now we've made so a basic tactical maneuver of retreating grants your party -50 morale, -honour, controvery points and everyone hates you" are complete bs that just suck out every single bit of fun to be had in this mod.

I’d recommend a decent mod called Star Wars Conquest. It’s on Warband. It’s on the steam workshop but it never worked for me through it so I had to manually install it. It’s a pretty good experience if you’re a Star Wars nut (was the first Warband mod I played) and I can say I actually enjoyed it thanks to how large the map is. It’s got a large quantity of planets (though they’re more like one cell like a village) and features an actual active conflict between rebels and the empire, with each side able to take over planets. It’s more like an actual RPG than a battle-centered mod.

Solid try in my opinion.

Novas Aetas, Light & Darkness: Heroes of Calradia, 16th Century, Gekokujo Daimyo Edition, Age of Sword & Sorcery, Warsword Conquest, World of Vasnar, 1257 A.D Enhanced, Hispania 1200, In the Name of Jerusalem, and the Last Days of the Third Age. These are my top favourite mods of all time. There needs to be more fantasy based mods around the Holy Roman Empire and Renaissance period where the Empire faces many unnatural evil enemies such as the undead, orcs, goblins, vampires and even corrupted humans.

My favourite mod has to be New Dawn, which (among a ton of other changes) adds roaming minor factions that occasionally turn into hordes, take over cities and become real factions. The battles are huge and there's plenty of faction variety too

For ne gekokujo is always a win. The siege was awesome with different type of castle and multi layer gates makes your head really thinks hard sometime

Great list for finding new mods! My personal favourite is definitely Pendor

It’s a bit surprising that pendor is rated so low. Many of the qualities that you praise perisno for are also present in pendor.

This is EXACTLY why I previously subbed. Thanks for another awesome video!

I agree with Perisno being the first, but Prophesy of Pendor not in top5? Granted it is slow, but ticks all the boxes you set.
In my book, Prophesy of Pendor is at least second, if not tied with Perisno for fiest position.

I just recently found your videos through your mod reviews on warband and thank you for giving honest reviews and will definitely be trying out most of these mods. Gonna be on the lookout for guide videos for these mods also

Aut ceasar Aut Nihil has to be my favourite mod alongside Perisno and Rising Sun Bakumatsu. The amount of content in AC AN is unbelievable. Joining as a soldier in the Roman legion is so much fun.

Even tho Napoleonic Wars is a DLC, it forever will be my favorite way of playing warband. It introduced me to the game in first place and, despite it having no singleplayer campaign, gave me so many good friends, intrigue and memories (and the melee combat is a whole thing on itself). It barely lives on still, as Bannerlord's adaptation is horrendous

While you prefer mods that overhaul the setting, I'll still recommend giving Silverstag a look. It's the closest thing I've played to an ideal vanilla+ warband and is probably responsible for a fifth of my 2k+ hours.

The last days and warsword conquest are my favorite mods that I've been playing for years until I started bannerlord. I do agree how you've ranked them and I expected you to rank Perisno as #1

A little correction here: In the name of Jerusalem, Light & Darkness, 16th Century are also all made by Chinese modders.
