I unironically played back when there were zombies, but not much I think. I could be misremembering. I definitely got the demo of Mount & Blade sometime after it became a thing (It had that town of Zendar or whatever), played that. Then I bought the game. Sometime later (A few years I think?) my computer died and I lost the game. Couldn't re-download it since I didn't have my activation key. I e-mailed Taleworlds about it, and they sent me a key for Warband and I've played that ever since!
Great devs. Bought Warband on Steam a few years back too and then, of course, bannerlord.
Waited nearly a decade for Bannerlord...

I played them all. I still remember Napoleonic and Viking Conquest when they were free mods. Though my all-time fav will still always be Prophesy Of Pendor which was ridiculously tough at some points. But points to the guy who was making a mod that encompassed all of Europe during the medieval era, took like 15 min to run my army across that entire map, and so many factions that the faction list was literally a list of names. Oh, and the Gekkoju mod (I think that was the name) for the Feudal Japan conversion, even though that never got finished.

Started playing this incredible franchise in 7th grade with M&B 1.011, now I’m in my final semester of college and still going strong on Bannerlord 1.7. Honestly I wouldn’t take back a single minute of my playtime in this series!

Played when I was 12. The Nords were my first faction. It may be sad to say this but for some reason I feel like this game is what lifted me out of my depression at the time. In total I have over 1300 hours in warband and 400 in bannerlord

vking conquest one was so true for me, i was terrible at the game and didnt understand the directional blocking, so i remember just looking up how to go into the games files and change the characters stats and stuff, so i just made myself become god

The babies should be glad, and respect to those who couldn’t make it for bannerlord, we’ve waited what felt like an entire decade.

I only picked up on warband but m&b was one of those remarkable game I’ll remember to my grave, hype never died in me, days felt like months, months felt like years, years felt like eons.

But now it’s here, bittersweetly so, because now what seemed so special became ordinary.

My first game was Warband but my first full play through was With Fire and Sword.I know a lot of people give it crap but it still is my favorite.I loved the settings, the theme, the music.It’s the best.Sure it has its flaws, sure the Deluge is hard, but it was fun.

remember playing WFaS because it was the first game i bought on pc at this time in 2011, it was great and loved it, then moved to warband and discovered mount and muskets. Damn, I've literally grown with this franchise and still playing it tho

I remember Zendar existing as a neutral city. Also that you could find a hidden pistol. Plus only a choice between Swadians and Vaegirs I think? Pretty sure that was the demo but damn that do take me back.
