Thank you so much, I bought the refill kit from Amazon, No instructions inside, I watched a couple of other videos on line but still no luck in getting it to work, But your Vacuum trick worked, yes the 3rd time I saw ink seep through. It worked perfectly. With the high cost of refills these days this is a no brainer.
Thank you again so much.

I bought my printer for $20 during Thanksgiving 5 years before. When I checked for a refill, it cost double the price of my printer. So I didn't replace it for more than 4 years since I took all my printouts from the office. During the lock down I had no other option. Since original refills were super costly I thought of buying a new printer. But none of the budget printers were available in stock near my place. So I ended up searching for the third party ink replacement. I found your video. I was not confident but thought of giving it a try since the refill cost was very reasonable. To my surprise, it worked like a charm on my five-year-old printer. But it didn't show ink levels and I get a warning whenever I restart the printer. But I can live without ink levels. Thank you again for sharing.

Everything that you stated in your video was simply brilliant!!! The trick with the vacuum to get the ink flowing was awesome! I did everything that you said, including the vacuum trick, and it worked like a charm as I got my ink cartridge working again. I also liked your advice to fill the ink cartridge BEFORE it runs out and the printer starts detecting and rejecting it to be used again. Yes, these HP cartridges are a pain and a money grabber - they just put all these obstacles in front of a person so that he/she gives up and buys a new cartridge which can get expensive over time. I agree, the best saying of your video - "Stick it to the Man!" I love it! Thank you so much for posting this video that just promotes common sense in order to help others. I can't thank you enough. Your video was well worth it - I Liked it and I Subscribed! Excellent job! Paul.

I did a refill on an HP 2710 all in one printer. The first one I did was black 63XL I pieced the hole as was suggested and the cartridge was not recognized and the printer would not print. I suspect the label has information on it as it is foil. The second one I did was 63XL tricolor. I used a heatgun but a blow dryer might work and I carefully pealed off the label with a razor blade. I did the refills really loading them with ink and it worked and still working for 2 months. The third time I did a black 63 non-xl. I cut the bottom label corner accidently while removing the label. The cartridge would not stop dripping because when I put the label back on air was getting sucked through the cut label at the top. I sealed it with clear silicone sealant and a piece of shipping label. The label was porous so I had to coat the label surface with silicone sealant as well. I popped it back in and it works great. If the foil label won't lay flat I used Scotch Super 77 adhesive which will allow me to remove the label again next time. For black you only need to remove the label half way. For color remove a third of the label at the top and a third at the bottom.

I have an Envy 7640 with 62 cartridge and this works for me but may not work for you but if you follow any of this advice you do so at your own risk:

First refill one cartridge and put into machine and then do the next so the head of the cartridges do not dry out as you're doing this. If you get a scratchy copy that might mean you have to clean the cartridge head. I do this by taking a small plate, putting just a bit of hot water in in and letting the head of the cartridge sit in the water for about 5 minutes. Then I gently pat dry the clean the cartridge with a soft wipe and wipe the pins with a q tip... be careful not to damage the pins.

Also look at where you install your cartridge and clean that area thoroughly. I bought sponge sticks which work well to soak up any ink residue in the cartridge chamber (including the sponges in them) but again I gently wipe the pins inside the printer cartridge area with a q tips.

After the ink is added gently clean the entire cartridge with a wipe and use q tips to clean off the pins in the front. If when you gently wipe the cartridge head you don't see ink, use the apparatus that holds the cartridge and a syringe underneath to draw out the ink through the printhead. If there's no ink take a plate and fill just a bit with hot water and let the cartridge head soak for about 5 minutes... Don't get the entire cartridge wet, just the cartridge head. Then try again... If color you should see small streaks bit blue, magenta and yellow in the water and on your wipes... and for black you'll see black.

If you want to try to tape the pin on each cartridge to over-ride the error code -- you must do this very gently and carefully, there is a chance if you don't you can scratch the pins, you could also pull the pins right off the cartridge so you'll have to do this at your own risk (I do and I've not have a problem)
Turn the pin head towards you and looking at the pin head:
- For color tape the very bottom pin on the bottom right
- For black tape the middle pin on the very top

How I tape: Without gloves cut a piece of tape into about a 1/2" rectangle... Then cut that into an angle like a long triangle -- have a wider side and then a narrow side just wide enough to cover the pin. Next on the very clean cartridge very carefully cover the pin gently but and then firmly push the tail of the tape onto the plastic... You need a tail in case you have to remove the tape plus if it gets loose you can hopefully grab it gently with a tweezers.

After that take a small (but not sharp) object, I use a tiny crochet hook -- press down on the reset button of each cartridge, these are on top of the cartridge and are round with a slight depression. Press down for 12-15 seconds and put back into cartridge holder.

This works for me but I cannot guarantee and you should be aware if you use the tape you run the risk of pulling off the pin which I can't guarantee you won't, but if you don't want to do the tape then you might want to try pressing down on the reset button(s) for at least 12 to 15 seconds... hope it works for you :)

I tried to prime my cartridge with the clip they sent several times with no success. Then I saw your video and I'm glad I did. That vacuum cleaner trick really works. Thanks.

That vacuum part is amazing, thank you so much for that! I couldn't get my yellow, or cyan, to come out, I knew I needed to suction them but didn't know how without the tool, this worked perfectly the first time!

Thank you, it worked. I ordered my ink from China, it took approx 8 weeks to arrive. To my surprise it still worked, because I ordered when my cartridge it was completely dry. I did take a paper towel and dampened the end where the ink comes out, used about 7 ml, then I put the cartridge in and after a couple of copies I showed my husband who said the better copy is the one I printed.

Thanks for the video. How would I know which holes to fill with which color on a HP 62 ?
What if the cartridge stops working from what seems like ink drying up ?
Much appreciated.

I’ve been using hp 92 and 61 for 17 plus years on eBay. Almost every time I refilled the old ones they still didn’t work. After watching this and using the vacuum cleaner suction trick, I tried this on a 21 year old 61xl and it worked only after I used the vacuum trick lmao. Thanks!

You’re video was the only one that actually Helped me. NowI have a question.. is refilling cartridges good for printing other things besides documents? I’ve tried printing stickers and the ink tends to be textured doesn’t come out smooth, you see lines running through it I’m not sure what I did wrong or if I did anything wrong I clean the cartridges but the problem still occurs. Could it be the ink ?
