Great song, but I kinda prefer the image, especially with the symbolism I thought of for it.
Kris is holding their soul close to their heart, as if protecting themself from the pain and suffering of others.
Frisk, on the other hand, is practically showing off their soul, as if saying that they'll suffer with and for the people around them. I feel the other souls behind Frisk symbolize the bonds they've made- the friends that they've laughed, fought and cried with.
The actual symbolism might be different, but that's my take on it, even if said take has minimal relations to the lore of Undertale and Deltarune.

Frisk's POV
You stand in front of the Dark World's ally, the Lightner that lights the dark; Kris Dreemurr.
ACT --> KRIS --> STAY DETERMINED
You tell Kris that with the souls you two possess; it's possible to accomplish anything, even saving everyone.
"Don't you get it? None of our choices mean anything, because we are just puppets; we can't save anyone."


Kris's POV
You renew your resolve to prove the fruitlessness of hope.
ACT --> FRISK --> REALITY CHECK
You ask Frisk if they really think anything's possible, even if you just want to be left alone, even if you want nothing to do with this journey, even when you don't know who you are anymore. All because someone else determines your fate.
"..." Frisk looks unsure of themselves.


Frisk's POV
You can't think straight, something's wrong.
ACT -- > KRIS --> KEEP TRYING
You open your mouth, but there's nothing but silence.
"What about if all I want is to do is tear it all down? Is it still possible then?"


Kris's POV
You feel yourself slipping.
ACT --> FRISK --> GIVE UP
You tell Frisk that every decision they make can be overwritten, and that's there's nothing they can do about it. That no matter how determined they are, it's not theirs to begin with.
"Stop, please stop."


Frisk's POV
You want to give up, but...
ACT --> SOMEONE --> CALL FOR HELP
You call into the darkness for help, hoping that someone, anyone will answer.

It seems you no longer care anymore, then you will continue.

You feel the warmth of a soul, but not your own. There's more than one!
