I did this methods and it sound saddly that the game had to download all over again and i had to wait like another few hours.But trust me it was worth and it fixed the problen when it started downloading again.Thank you so much!

This keeps happening to me as well. It also crashes my PC with a BSOD when I start downloading something. Any ideas other than it being steam?

Hi, just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. ( I am a PC tech by trade 36 years. Yup I fixed Commodore 64s in my days ) None of this helped me at all. Even though the 2T SATA 2.5" Kingston SSD that I keep my Steam folder in was 100% healthy checked OK by windows disk check, crystal disk check and Kingstons own verification tool, I discovered with experimenting that after moving a 150GB data folder off that drive to another one, ( freeing up space ) the problem was resolved. Note that the 2TB SSD had over 400GB free when the Steam Disk Write errors started. Now that it has arounf 630G|B free, the errors are gone and Steam updates are fine again. This tells me that the drive has a faulty area that none of my tools can detect. Totally weird, but if you are in same boat, make more room on the offending drive as a last resort. You can of course uninstall large games you don't play anymore etc.
