We differentiate y=sqrt(1-x^2), the upper half of a circle. We can use this to find tangents to semicircles and to find this derivative we will need the chain rule. Beginning first with the outer function of the 1/2 power, then moving onto the quadratic inside. #apcalculus #calculus1
