A lot of low value men want high maintenance women and don't realize it until something is asked of them. They want something high quality on a budget.

Growing up, I saw when my brother wanted to impress a girl and when he wasn't that invested. Night and day. Dinner, poetry, concerts, day trips for the girls he valued. Coffee or 'chill at the house' for the others. Men put their money where their mouth is, all day every day. So if he decides you're not good enough for a proper date, he's not truly interested. A man who wants to impress you will never accuse you of being a gold digger. Lots of men know good and well they're with gold diggers and DO NOT CARE (see Kanye). If he wants your good opinion, he will invest. Full stop.

As a man, the woman I married was the one I went on the cheapest date with.

It wasn't a cost saving measure, because I definitely doled out heavy money on our later dates.

But the purpose of the 1st date wasn't to be flashy, it was to count her and find out who she is, what she wanted and if we were compatible.

I'd done $1000 dates before her that led to nothing. The $1000 date I went on with my now wife, the first thing she said was, "this is too much".

I believe all women are high maintenance in different ways. The ones with the high price tags are the obvious ones. But others are high maintenance mentally, emotionally, etc.

Some months ago, I was offered a walking first date at the park and it had recently rained too. Smh. I stated that I wear heels and dresses on dates so I don’t walk. I also stated that I don’t do cheap dates. The guy was offended and offered to let me pay for the date. I stated that I don’t give men money or pay for dates either. He was still trying to talk me into going out with him even after I said that we were not compatible. I stated that I was respectfully declining his date suggestions/ invitation. I told him to have a nice day and I disconnected the call. Smh. Some of these males want the most for the least. 😂

Some of the men I have talked to feel that paying for the first date is wrong they like dutch and there in thier 60s and 70s I block their number Manners and respect snd putting a good foot forward like a job interview but remember to be u and show ur worth and value ladies.

How do we balance being courteous and grateful vs "entlighment " . Should we always say thank you even for the small things like door openings. (I usually don't as I think i deserve it) but I'm conscious of not coming of as entitled either. So what's the fine line
