Healing from the 'Inside-Out' | Elizabeth Beadle | TEDxHickory
Показать описание
Our society desires health, vitality, and longevity. However, most continue along blindly, assuming that illness will not catch up with them. I will address the integrative approach to sustaining health and wellness, prevention of disease, and I will talk about the under-diagnosed and poorly treated epidemics of fibromyalgia and adrenal fatigue: symptoms of stress, exhaustion, joint pain, and weight gain are common complaints in our society that are not properly addressed. Instead of digging into the root cause of these symptoms, practitioners often treat these symptoms by covering them up with pain medications, sleeping and diet pills, and anti-depressants. The root cause and foundational deficiency of illness are not being affectively analyzed and consequently patients are treated from the "outside - in" (symptoms treated with drugs), rather than treating them from the "inside- out" (finding the root cause of disease).
