I brought home my CRF300 today. It is just heavy enough to command respect from me. I am still a new rider. I am looking forward to doing some beginner riding. Have fun!

Great fun that Dave, those Honda's are a hoot aren't they...do miss my 250L somewhat (although my shoulders dont). Do change the tyres for something with a wider tread pattern though, you'll find the grip is so much better on the muddy stuff and your riding will improve by another level again. Great stuff mate - ride safe!

Nice to see you're loving the bike. We have hundreds of country lanes here but we don't have that system of green lanes like they have in the UK. I thought there would be tons of dirt tracks, or trails when i moved to Cavan initially. The Coillte forestry land and the bogs are the largest areas but they don't allow you access. Enjoy your weekend.

Dave compared to your original videos on the 300 you are flying down the track. These are as rare as Hens Teeth in the States. My riding buddy has a 2021 Honda Africa Twin, but he has found that it’s too big for what he wants to do off-road. He’s been scouring the Midwest for the Rally version, but no luck so far. Just forwarded your video and he loves your reviews. Another Saturday video with coffee exploring the Ol Sod. I’ll be out on one of my Triumph 1200’s later in the day. I love my CRF300L! I think 6th gear is wonderful. Very tall. I was always looking for another gear on my old XR250L. I'll be like, "Right on, I have another gear!" on the 300L.

Glad you love it Dave I'm the same with mine but the thought of damaging it goes against the grain for me🙃 so i've turned it into a Super Moto with 17in wheels and sticky tyres😉good move doing the rear spring!!

It looks a fun little bike Dave, I know what your saying about the tyres I’ve heard a few people recommending change the tyres for something with a chunkier tread pattern to really maximise their potential

Nice review, would be great if we were allowed proper access to the forestry roads in Ireland, I'd pay a yearly charge for it 😀. I have often thought if there were more access to off road riding in Ireland I would definitely spend more time off road than on road.
