Women are raised to think they are without flaw. My wife does worse than not gaslight apologizes. If I say something she did bothers me, she says "I am sorry you feel that way, but I did that because you did this". At this point I just do not complain about anything. I just avoid her as much as I can. I do not want to lose my kids so it is just a waiting game. My day will come.

With the exception of my mom, I don’t think I know a woman that I have ever heard the words “I’m sorry” or “I apologize” come out of their mouths.

Funny enough that's the exact reason I broke up with my ex last year. She wasn't capable of owning up to her bad behaviour. After I realised its a lost case with her I straight out ghosted her and finally blocked her after I got my stuff back. Never ever accepting disrespect again.

Found me a woman who knows how to say “I’m sorry” “I made a mistake” and “you were right” and was not highly active on social media. Gonna marry that girl. Never ever before dated a girl who would say that. They would either go silent, walk away, and deflect on to something else and make it your fault and it would be a completely different topic from what was being discussed

Two reasons I wanted a divorce: 1) lack of appreciation 2) lack of accountability.

I had enough of carrying the weight of all the things that were "wrong" in the marriage and never receiving acknowledgement of all the things that were "right".

My ex is the kind of person who ignores the flowers and complains about the vase. It's pretty sad actually.

Girls: being able to say "I'm sorry" and "thank you" has more power than anything you will ever have between your legs.

Growing up in Canada the word "sorry" was sometimes used as a replacement for punctuation.
Some of my girlfriends had trouble with even that.

I was exactly this way and have made a concerted effort, since being with my now husband, to apologize when I'm wrong. He really was the first person to show me true humility and HOW to take ownership of wrongdoing. I honestly had never seen that modeled in my life. Even 13 years together I'm shown just how strong and humble he is and I truly admire him. We've been very blessed to get to grow together.
