This got me right in my feels. My stepmom passed away recently and her dog starved herself to death :( she refused to eat no matter what they tried. She died 5 days after her

I love it when you see dog statues turn gold because of how many people pet them.

That is one of the saddest and heartwarming videos and stories I’ve ever heard about that Dog was so loyal to his owner. He stayed there for 14 years. I’m glad the people of the graveyard eventually just adopted him and got him a shelter and fed him every day until he passed. Animals have feelings too, and when they lose their person it is very hard for them.

Experiencing a dog passing is tragic, but a dog experiencing their owner passing is devastating

This reminds of me of Hachiko, the Japanese Akita dog. There’s been good boys everywhere

We truly don't deserve these wonderful little creatures sometimes. While I know other animals can and do show affection, there's just nothing quite like the unconditional love a dog gives you.

Rest easy, little Bobby. I hope you and your human were reuinited across the rainbow bridge. 💜💜

A fun fact: the reason that his statue’s nose is a different color than the rest of him is because the statue started off that color, then aged and got dirty throughout the years. People rub his nose for good luck, wiping away the grime and making it shiny again! He’s a very good boy!

Our family Shih Tzu witnessed my mom die suddenly (as did I), and while she allowed me to perform CPR, she climbed onto my mom's chest and tried to attack the EMTs. She followed them as they removed my mother's body until she could go no further due to fencing. She followed this route and sat at the gate looking towards where the ambulance left for years until she had to be put down a few months ago. I love you, Joy. RIP

As an Edinburgh native I have to admit Bobby was the greatest thing to come out of this city. ❤ the goodest boy.
