'Dancing On The Ceiling' - An Old School Mash Up

Because of the positive response my previous videos have had, here's my latest 'dancing video'. This will probably be the last one I make of these, so it's a little longer (over 7 minutes), and I've tried to include as many people as possible (some by request). Some weren't possible, simply because they didn't suit the edit.
As always keep the comments below respectful & on topic, otherwise they will just be removed and you may be blocked.

They were real performers. They could dance, sing, act, do serious roles, comedy. They were the absolute best. I sure miss them.

I spent 35 years in film production and am awed by this effort, notably the thousands of hours that must have been spent seeking just the right visible moments to match the sound beat.

When the Aliens from outer space invade us and ask “Why shouldn’t we obliterate your planet?”, just show them this. We’ll be fine.

I echo the paeans of praise heaped upon this production. If defies description for this 80-year-old who grew up in a show business family. Mom was a hoofer.. I play this almost every evening, just so I can sit there and smile from ear to ear before bedtime.

Because of this Video, I'm planning a dance party this week for buddies, to enjoy the Art of the dance. We're ALL 74 ++ years. Mille Grazie !!

The precision with which these snippets of film were synched with the accompanying music is beyond description -- exquisite!! Kudos!! And such an array of memorable dance sequences really turns on the nostalgia for those of us who've been around for over 60 years. My hope is that the young ones coming up will appreciate these incredibly gifted artists, the "poetry in motion". Thank you for the pleasure of viewing!

WOW! I just watched my childhood and it was the greatest thing I've seen in years! Gene Kelly was my idol ever since I was able to dance on my own two feet. I loved him and still do! My mom loved Hollywood and we watched all the movies with her...singing along to every song. Thank you so much for making this video it made my day. I miss the glamour and the class that these times had. My mom looked and dressed like a star so I always had that beauty and class nearby. ♥♥♥

These scenes are an example of what could be achieved without technology. These actors and dancers are the real deal.

As an average film and dance enthusiast, it strikes me how iconic these moments were. Joyful celebration of the best of human nature, while at the same time, then and now other “ humans” were busy killing each other . Thank you all for the joy in this fabulous tribute to our better nature 🇨🇦🤣❤️💔🙏🇺🇦

I don't know why but there is nothing more life affirming then watching people dance. It brings me out of any negitive feeling I'm having and lifts me to the moon.

It makes you think they are actually dancing to this song! The precision, the handclaps, the timing… it’s perfect!

LOVE LOVE LOVE these vids with old movie dance sequences. Fred Astaire was amazing. Most of these are from my youth or before I was born. Loved seeing Lucille Ball and Buddy Ebsen.

Hard to believe there was a time when you needed actual natural raw talent to gain celebrity status.
