An unusual dance number to say the least. Of course Fred Astaire doesn't really dance on the walls and ceiling. The entire set rotated as Fred danced and he made it all look so real. Incredible job all the way around.

I saw a short video some time ago on how they filmed this and it still blows my mind every time I watch it. They rotated the room and camera around Mr. Astaire, to put it simply. His timing had to be perfect as he went from surface to surface as the room rotated.

Outstanding movie-making. If there was a such a thing as a time machine the first thing I would do is go to the movie theatre where this was first shown to the public and drink in the wonder on people's faces as they experienced this amazing spectacle for the very first time...!
