ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC DANCE SCENE IN FILM HISTORY.

Why don’t we see films/movies made like this nowadays with the same determination and grit. It’s all about having a dream and going for it, even if you fail. "Failure isn't fatal, but failure to change might be" - John Wooden

Irene won an Oscar, multiple Grammys, a Golden Globe award and a People's Choice award! She always brings me to tears and I'm not ashamed to say it.

I'm not a "dancer"...but this scene made me freaking cry when I was 17 in 1983...and it makes me cry now, 39 years later. Damn, what a moment in movie history!!

As much as Hollywood tries...they can't recreate the magic of 80s movies. There is an authenticity to them that just doesn't exist anymore.

In 2007, I was interviewing with a major tech company for my first job out of college. This is the song I blasted while riding up to their campus. I screwed up the first interview but aced the second. Thank you everyone involved in the making of this magnificent interview film and thank you unnamed 3 letter big tech company. I was a young adualt destined for low income but this song and that interview changed my life for the better.

To this day, I still find her dance routine amazing. You can’t help but applaud.

RIP Irene Cara. Incredible dancer. Loved Fame and Flashdance. I'm no dancer but every time I hear it I want to dance. One of the most uplifting songs ever ❤

Now at almost 50 years of age and overweight, it's videos like this that has got me learning to dance. And oh boy, are all my muscles sore! Oh why did l sign up for dance classes now at this age? 🥴 Oh, that's right, now I remember, it made me feel good, and want to dance and get fit and not be overweight anymore, and above all say "I've had the time of my life" 😁

This soaring dance routine at the end was so kick ass. Years later to this day, my heart races whenever I see it. Purely stunning!

This scene inspired me to become a professional dancer! I was laughed off the stage and never made it past the first audition, but still.

Tiempos que no volverán. Lo mejor era antes, dichosos los que tuvimos la gracia de vivir esa época. Nunca nada actual se comparará a lo de antes!!

One of the best ending scenes for a follow your dream movie ever made. Maybe the movie wasn't totally everything to everybody but the ending was magnificent.

I feel nostalgic about the 80's and I wasn't even alive at that time.

Moved to Mexico for 6 months with my Dad and this was the only movie we had on VHS that was in English. My DAD loved this movie. Such a romantic. Miss you pops RIP

One of the best scenes ever, which needs no words of explanation, 'cause of the motions, sounds, facial expressions, and the great song with so touching melody and lyrics. Paying sincere respect to Georgio Moroder and Irene Cara.
