I'm a lady. I love the Roommates. Even if they are speaking to a specific gender, everyone can benefit from these podcast. Many people don't want to look inside themselves and become better. Many feel a sense of entitlement and should get what they want, without the work. But if you build it, they will come. You will attract what you are. So become what you want.

I would change rule 14 from "It's all your fault" to "It doesn't matter whose fault it is, you must improve your life."

A Man Who Can Master Self Discipline (especially sexual discipline) Is A Man Who Can Do Anything He Puts His Mind To 💯

I do understand the “heart” behind Hafeez saying that we shouldn’t blame others for where we are in life.

But this is not what has worked for me in therapy. My Father is a narcissist and has cut my wings so much and damaged my mind and self worth in so many ways. My therapist asked me, “what would it mean for you to accept that your father is at fault?” Because I was covering for him in my psyche so much.

I said I would be angry.
And he later walked me through acceptance, anger management, grieving and most importantly, forgiveness.

So, if someone else is at fault from now on in my life, blaming them and accepting they are at fault… with the added benefit of seeing my own faults too and where I can improve … is what I do now.

I don’t agree with hafeez about not blaming others. But I get his “heart” about using the blame of others as a crutch-excuse not to improve.

I hope this helps someone

The bit about friends is too real. Nothing sucks more than cutting ties with somebody you care about but know isn't good for you anymore. Also up until 30, you'll probably find that people 10-15 years older than you are better friends than your own age group.

I was scared you weren’t going to post an episode this week due to the time. Looking forward to the discussion.

I really, really love this community. It is the most inspiring one on the whole of YouTube and it is so good to see how inspired people become by listening to your content, Hafeez and Chris. I'm not always in complete agreement with everything you guys say but there can be absolutely no doubt that you are providing the motivation to encourage (particularly young) guys to change their lives for the better. No hatred, no venimosity in your words. Your approach is from a real place of calm, a place of simplicity; wanting current and future generations of men to reach the level of potential that not only is valuable to society, but most importantly valuable to themselves too. Really great work guys, keep going. You're doing a great job. And you've certainly helped me out personally too. 👍

I loved this episode in particular. Men rule #2 is pivotal categorize your friends accordingly not every person who you have a good initial interaction with is your friend. Time shows you people’s true characters morales and values do not allow FOMO and loneliness make you settle for mediocre friends.

I think this is good for all. Some men might need more then a talk. They need community and brotherhood. They need to eliminate distractions. Eventually get married and have a family. But to go at it alone is not what works. It’s a sad reality that most men do not have a community. Most don’t even know that is the main source of their problem.
