I mean I wouldn't do $60k on any VW but if they kept the 7/7.5 interior and used the new motor and drivetrain, that would've been the best.

My dealer has had one for weeks now, listed at $60K. If it sells for that much, the buyer should get a trophy for being so desperate and dumb. The car is not even that nice to justify the markup of more than 30%. I would consider one at sticker, definitely not over sticker.

Has to be said that the 60k quote is dealer markup. For those of us who ordered ours we got it at msrp

VW isn't asking $60k though...MSRP is $44.5k with DSG. Obviously, it's the new car retail market itself which has gone off its rocker right now, so dealer markups are nuclear. Unless you know who to buy from...but it's only going to get tougher for this particular model as the last shipment was just totaled out at sea.

Nothing will beat in looks and style and it's a driver's car the original R 2004 Golf Mk4 R32 I owned one for six years and lost it to a storm. Still miss her to this day not a fan of four bangers and nothing can beat that VR6 burble. Plus one last note 60k? 😳 not worth it what's so ever.
