Playing for Thibs would really suck. Thibs doesn't want to run plays for MItch. Ever. Just like he doesn't want Quickley to play PG. It doesn't matter what the players want or what the players can door even if it would help the team to develop that as part of the game.

Who cares what you think his job should be or is? The idea that you can't play defense if you get a dozen passes a game. The idea that he can't complain about his role if they win is sort of gross. How about you leave the basketball talk to the players and quit doing these pods if you think it's acceptable to tell anyone they can't even make a comment about not ever getting to be the focus of the offense.

BTW - He has one of the highest shooting percentages in the game for his career and you bring up a 2 for 8 game?

It’s a complete different basketball game… the center position used to be the most crucial position but now teams don’t really care much about center roles. As long as he can shoot from the 3 and set pick and rolls. Robinson needs to humble himself and realize the team is winning, he should improve his FT % tho maybe he can easily gain 4-6 more points a game

@Alwyn Louis I think you're correct and in error in one shot. Robinson has very good hands that allow him to catch and finish with a crazy dunk or finger roll; at the same time, his weak picks don't create the space that commands a lob over a shot. Jericho Sims sets a much better pick that creates the space to command a lob but, perhaps his sophomore status, slightly "harder" hands, and contract values and incentives compels teammates to shoot rather than lob it. Lastly, Mitch may feel a little pressure due to his lucrative off-season contract extension, good play of Hartenstein, or a combo. Oh yeah, you're probably correct about iso-ball in the playoffs. This season, however, we have 3 outstanding potential iso-players that can make you pay dearly with iso-ball if executed quickly enough, in Jules, RJ, and, Brunson.

@Steven Kopko And starting too!!! But, that's mostly from a fan's perspective. There's a huge possibility of fans not being able to empathize with NBA players. As Thibs said, we don't know what's going on behind closed doors and/or practices. Some players feel pressure with lucrative contracts, incentives, and teammates out-performing them. The key is for the players to handle these issues of life correctly, which some may not have the wisdom to execute the right action. Kristaps Porzingis, Carmelo Anthony, Stephon Marbury, and Julius Randle are prime examples of acting unwisely.

I think you touched on something I feel needs to be stressed. IF he was complaining, he agreed to an extension with this team which he already knew HIS role as defense first. So we gotta assume he knew what he was signing for when he agreed. Anything touch he gets for shots is an added bonus.
