Having spent three years in Germany in the 1980s, the Germans definitely know
how to Christmas. Being away from home, and a teenager, I definitely loved the Christkindlesmarkt. The people
on the corner hawking hot chestnuts, and of course the smells of the cooking foods, made it like no other place. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I spent my childhood in Germany. Mom was German and I went to a German school for 5 years. Had an American dad and mom re-married an American soldier when I was 12. Off to the USA... It was weird adjusting but I was permanently influenced by my initial years in Germany. I miss it and want to go back but I realize it is not as I left it. Maybe I might return for a visit but I don't know... Thanks for the glimpse into my old/new world. LOL
