Can someone let me know if stopping tretinoin completely is okay or should i still wear it 2-3 times a week..? I used to have horrible adult acne and started using tretinoin last year. My skin cleared up in months thankfully but it irritates my skin more than to my liking so i stopped using it and changed my skincare routine to minimal. But i'm still hoping to get the tretinoin benefits but I'm just scared that my skin will go back to being sensitive and damaged again..

I’m finishing up on month 3 with my Tret. The purging finally subsided almost 3 weeks ago and I’ve added a low dose of Azelaic Acid during the day. Which has literally been a GAME CHANGER.

Anyways, I did the sandwich method the first 2 months of Tret. While I was happy, I was also seeing better results with my regular retinol prior to me starting Tret. I felt like my skin was less plump and glowy with the sandwich method than it used to be. Now of course, my acne was still there. But since I stopped doing the sandwich method I have been achieving the ultimate results. And I believe it’s because I worked myself up to that point and got my skin ready for it!

Why not mix? Mixing with moisturizer works well for me, because I have tret gel and extremely dry skin, and the gel will dry before it’s even been spread out completely if I don’t mix w moisturizer.

I’m on Curology right now and my formula has tretinoin in it, at some point I’d like to stop Curology and get a prescription of just the tretinoin, would that make my skin freak out?

I've been using this for over a year and although it helps tremendously. It is causing growth in facial hair. I am so disappointed because its been helping me get rid of my acne scars and help keep the pimples away.
