imho, there are two main branches:
1. humanity will reach permanent stasis, because the AI that is far superior to us will reach the optimal values of parameters which they were initially programmed to achieve
2. we will decide to lag and regulate computer science behind 50 years until neuroscience catches up, and work heavily on integrating AI as add-on and partial replacement to our very brains.
