Top 20 Pokemon TCG cards we're losing to the 2025 rotation

Once a year, The Pokemon Trading Card Game sunsets a block of cards from its Standard format. Here's my list of the top 20 cards that will no longer be Standard-legal once rotation occurs in early 2025!

I would have radiant greninja at no.1 because of how versatile it is in so many decks. It has a broken ability and a great attack. Plus, I love the frog!

Dialga vstar is my first deck pokemon TCG. I had a great time with this deck between 5th of April 2024 until the end of October 2024 as he is my first partner in this game.
Unfortunately, I had to face the reality that Dialga Vstar is out of competitive range due to the increasingly bad matchup against this deck.
But I’d let Dialga Vstar play for one last gym league as a farewell ceremony before its’ rotation like some of the athletes would receive the guard of honour, a farewell match and post match speech.

I think Lumineon didn’t see play in the beginning was because Dedenne GX was still in the format and once that card rotates Lumineon took over.

Props for Arceus Vstar being an Honorable Mention/#21, but personally I feel like that spot should go to Hisuian Heavy Ball instead.

As a Regidrago user, I'm saddened to see it go. While Teal Mask Ogerpon ex was the edge Drago needed to be BDIF as energy accel (and Dragapult ex for the attack), it was too late for Drago to win Worlds. I have blinged the deck out and I will play Regidrago until its rotation in April 2025, thank you for making this video and I'll be waiting for the longer version of this video 🫡

So I played TCG Online from B/W up until those "take 3 price cards" (don't know what they are called) and quit shortly after their release. Got into TCG Live due to trying out Pocket and wanted to play the actual game again.

Now, I didn't get to collect many cards yet but I did play my fair share of games and almost all the cards in this video are used in each of their respective decks. I'm very much interested in how this rotation will switch things up

I really hope Arcanine ex is going to be rotated soon, too. I'm beyond sick and tired of facing the heavily sheeped Arcanine ex/Charizard pre-made deck! That's the number 1 most common deck I've had to face in PTCGL, and it's extremely boring to face, and Charizard ex and Dusknoir both need to be banned due to how broken they are!
