I've heard other channels saying the bridge was still standing so civilians could escape...but clearly the Ukrainians just didn't get around to a second strike. And clearly they don't want the Russians south of the river to get away either, since the pontoon bridges get sunk quickly. Wouldn't want to be a Russian conscript these days. You get to be sent up against a well trained and armed opponent who is highly motivated to defeat you.

"Bridgebuilder" is suddenly not the fun job it used to be in the Russian army.

In completely unrelated news, the Russian army is moving to a cow-based logistics system.

The ork technical term for that animal is ‘a mine-clearing cow’. 🐄

Funny, but the name of the settlement Pushkarnoe where two towed howitzers were hit by Ukrainian artillery means "gunners'/related to gunner(s)" ("пушкарь" means "gunner")

Hey Sucho,
trivial/fun fact:
That line north of the Zvannoe bridge, that recently got you confused is now gone in Google Maps.

It is likely that the ammo for the two towed howitzers was being carried in the trucks that got hit, so ammo is gone and nobody will be able to move the howitzers far without a vehicle.

1) BMP-2 has a long, but narrow 30mm gun. Noway it could obstruct a 400mm or so triangle.
2) BMP-2 came from the Russian-held area.

Maybe ru figure if the debris of the pontoons pile up they will have a solid bridge.

Just a reminder to everyone, friendly fire in a war are supposed to be very rare event. It happens, but its very rare and army around the world work very hard to avoid it. In Russia, its a normal news, once a week.

Whatever the exact situation in this area, Russia building pontoon after pontoon is a sign that they're not at all happy.

I guess Russian logistics might have to use cargobikes for bridge crossing soon.

Sergeant: "Sir, I can't position this pontoon bridge correctly due to submerged obstacles. Can we move it to a different part of the river?"
Lieutenant: "No, Sergeant, the General wants it here. What are the submerged obstacles?"
Sergeant: "The pontoon bridges from yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the day before that."

it's a bad idea to use inverted triangle instead of the normal triangle.
