Is the 2025 Honda Civic Sport a BETTER compact sedan than a Mazda 3?

The Civic get s refresh for 2025 from Honda. On the outside you will find a new front fascia and grill. On the inside you will be greeted sport pedals, 7in infotainment screen and cloth seats with leather like material on the bolstering. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-4 producing 158HP. Is the 2025 Honda Civic Sport a BETTER compact sedan than a Mazda 3?

I looked at two recently, one in this Red and a new color Blue Lagoon. Joe, you forgot to mention it has a new engine an Atkinson cycle with 150 hp down from 158 hp in the last model. Fuel MPG is up slightly to 39 MPG highway.

As a Mazda 3 owner, I'm biased. Honda's great (I've owned two) but I feel Mazda's the winner here.

I just purchased this exact vehicle, but in Canada. Here we get a sunroof and a few other extras. It drives well, feels well planted in the corners and the suspension is quite comfortable over the bumps. It does need more power and a true automatic. Overall it is a good value.

had a 23' civic sport. I’ll admit I was having so much fun w the "7 speed" cvt w paddle shifters, the 2 liter gave it character and the rest of the car that separates from the base civic, honda did great w these for the price point. but I traded it in last month for an FL5 😁

In Japan, it was long time ago but, I used to see Civics and Accords that were imported back from the US. I believe they were especially the fifth generation Civic and the fourth generation Accord. Of course, they were left-hand drive, and the design of the four-spoke steering wheel with airbags was really cool, and I still remember it. The Civic Coupe and Accord Coupe from that time are still legendary to me.
