Health insurance can be a huge expense, but think twice before you drop it.

Health insurance is not full proof. Even with all my coverages I still pay out of pocket no matter the insurance. We need a better system

My health insurance doesn't covers anything anymore. I paid $900 a year for additional optical and dental on top of regular health saved me $50, on my glasses.... (still cost me $760 for my glasses, but wouldn't cover a dime on contact Dental cost me $1000 for 2 filings AFTER insurance coverage. Pregnancy cost me $12, 000 out of pocket. And My deductible was only $100. But apparently it doesn't cover unnecessary things like "epidurals" x-rays, ultrasounds, but if I have a heart attack at 30yo at least they'll cover

People always say what if you're in a major accident. Okay let's say you're in a major accident and you've got thousands of dollars in bills. Your health insurance is not going to pay for all of that. At this point they pay for just a small fraction of it. So you're still in debt for thousands of dollars. And I know for a fact that hospitals and collection agencies will actually work with you on payments to get the bill paid off. So as far as getting into an accident or you have thousands of dollars in hospital bills. Even with health insurance, you're still going to have thousands of dollars in hospital bills you have to pay.

So $331 per month which is $3, 972 per year for health insurance, or the other option of a $695 per year penalty for no insurance (I live in California)? Am I missing something or is that what the math is like?

Also, if you enroll in your company benefits, do they still deduct at minimum 331 per month or is there generally some kind of perk for enrolling in that aspect of benefits your employer may offer?

And for people with jobs that don’t offer benefits like health insurance they almost make it impossible and a huge hassle to get insurance. It’s BS I don’t get it .

There’s a way to skate through the system without insurance; many indigent people know the tricks. I’ve been in the industry for 30 years, and I learned them myself. I kid you not, I was paying $10, 000 per year for my family’s health insurance, and I worked for one of the largest insurer in the nation and I still had a $6000 deductible. do the math. Oh did I mention, I am a nurse. There’s ways to circumvent the system.

You also dont need CREDIT to survive. And if you get into debt you cant actually pay. Bankruptcy is a good thing not bad. Start clean and get away from all these control systems.

A $380/mo. plan in Pennsylvania comes with a $8100 deductible and 50% coinsurance for pretty much everything. If I get cancer, I'm just gonna jump out of a plane lol
