Thank you so much for this video. I am searchg about Ottoman anatomist Shemseddin-i İtâki and his works about dissection. He was influenced by Andreas Vesalius in his studies. Your video is very helpful about all history of dissection.

I also read some individuals claimed Herophilus to have performed vivisection. I think they referenced Galen.

Wait... So even though there is evidence of understanding anatomy, there wasn't dissection because of a law? I'd argue that either the data came from India with Ayurvedic System Of Hindu Medicine, or they secretly broke the law.
