I’m literally wearing one right now but use another brand. Mine isn’t even listed as a pimple patch. They work SO well overnight with minimal hyperpigmentation. Mine are especially useful during PMS!

The best part of patches is actually what you mentioned first, it stops you from 'picking' but clarify, 'touching' as your fingers, nails carry bacteria that make them worse ;) LOVING your sharing such brill educated info!:)

I discovered it works better when the surface has been broken (stick with me). Cleanse the skin, get an unused lancet, and poke the center (don’t touch or squeeze). You shouldn’t actually feel anything if you poke the true center of the pimple. This gives the pus and oil a path of least resistance for extraction

I tried the ones with spikes on a cystic acne spot. The next morning it was empty and flat. I didn't apply another one and by night the cystic acne was full of liquid again like I never used one. Maybe if I applied them continuously it might have worked. The best thing when I get them during high stress is to drain them with a syringe. Going to work with giant ones wouldn't do. Not matter how much it hurt I use to squeeze them and cause so much more pain and damage. Thirty scabs on your face is worse than the actual zit was.

The only thing I would advise is NOT to get the Panoxyl brand of hydrocolloid patches. The adhesive is way too strong and left my skin raw and red for weeks. All the other brands i tried were fine though.

Quick safety reminder! Make sure your patches say that they are ment for pimples.
Hydrocolloid dressings are originally and still used for burns and have a much stronger Adhesive because it's ment to be left on for 3-7 days, using these ones as pimple patches and taking them off after 6-12 hours could cause skin irritation or even create tears on the skin.

These are seriously a life safer for a picker who can't stop!!!! I use differin qam, AHA/BHA peel once weekly, azelaic acid qpm, and of course with lotion and suncreen along the way because of you! <3 Thank you so much.

those are my absolute favorite, if target is ever out i reach for the zitsticka ones but the packaging is so hard to open with long nails. The star face ones are cute but fall off super easy and you can’t really see if it works or not cause it’s colored. Hero also has tons more types of patches
