The Unknown Files: The Human-Bigfoot war of 1855 (Season 3 Premiere)

There have been reports of an actual war between humans and Bigfoot, which seems to have been mostly forgotten yet in some circles much talked about. Today to start Season 3 we take a look at the infamous "War", where Choctaw Indians took up arms against three giant Sasquatch. Was this an actual event or is it nothing more than a tall tale?

I found a very old book, I think at the Stamford university online archives- anyway it had illustrations of this and it detailed how the Bigfoots would cover their bodies in mud and then lay in the sun, this way it would harden and they would have basically clay armor. I'll have to see if I can find the book it was so bizarre.

Not one single souvenir taken from the beast, corpses, not a skull or a hand or anything. Hunters and warriors of all cultures have taken trophies since the dawn of time, so I find it hard to believe that no part of a beast was recovered

Cool story even if that's all it is..But you how many stories end up turning out. Usually there's some truth to them but how much is the question? This isn't the first time I've heard or been told that sasquatch would sometimes take a infant or a child and or a woman from various villages..Most definitely interesting and I just wish there were ways to verify it. From what I read on this alleged account, Joshua Leflore, was a Captain and Not a General Officer. Allegedly, he used a Colt Patterson 36 caliber percussion revolver against the aggressing Bigfoot, Too bad that Captain Joshua Leflore, did not have the much more powerful Walker or Dragoon percussion revolver as such very well might have to stopped the aggressing Bigfoot!

So Joshua Leflore was a really person but as far as I can tell by googling him he was born in 1877 though we don't know how or when he died. Do the Choctaw people stand by this story?

super interesting story, ....have heard of the tubbees, amos', leflores, and mccurtains, and at one time the choctaw had an early police force called the lighthorse

that forest on the western central arkansas border is huge and far central east ok has lots of ravines n rugged country, ...

is this kelly person still alive, would be interesting to know his source on the material....

Daniel Boone killed one that attacked his son. His son shot it twice in the chest. It picked up his son and slammed him twice to the ground. Daniel Boone shot it in the eye dropping it. He cut open the two wounds his son made. And found it's ribs were so think and close together, that the lead shots moved around the rib cade and came out it's back. Basically giving it only minimal wounds. Other people have said they shot at and hit them to minimal effect. So, aim for their heads people.
