The way the song explodes out of the gate is simply brilliant.

There is an Eleanor Rigby buried near where Paul grew up. He noticed one day that it said Eleanor Rigby on a tombstone.

Eleanor Rigby defied all the norms of rock music. The powerful use of the stringed instruments (no drums), the melody and the message made for a timeless masterpiece.

George deserves some credit, he came up with the “face in a jar” line which is maybe the most interesting lyric.

Paul is a genius for writing that at such a young age. There’s nothing else quite like it.

As a life-long Beatles fan(I'm 64) I love these unknown info Beatle clips.

Paul just came out of nowhere as this incredible writer of melody. He said once that his trick was to never question his voice or how he sounds, it seemed to open up that focus. John said similar things, that songs write themselves if their mind is right.

It’s really hard to choose which Beatles album is my favorite. Most of the time I’d say rubber soul. And of course pepper. Lately I’ve really been digging the white album. But at the end of the day, I know that revolver is their best album.

John educates each beatle..."sing coulyflower til you get word in something, ...."throw tomato" before it became "walk out" on me in with a little help....

The level of competition between them wasn't constant and the ability to misremember was increased by drug use, hurt feelings, relative success at the moment, and other factors.
After John won the issue of crediting all of his Beatles songs and all of Paul's Beatles songs to "Lennon-McCartney" he didn't want people to think he contributed less to Paul's songs than Paul contributed to his.

This songs actual message is so good. If only most humans could understand it. If they have to explain it then you aren’t actually listening.
