The danger with "volcanic ash" is that it is largely composed of minute but very sharp shards of volcanic glass that, if inhaled, can lacerate (and clog) the lungs and respiratory tract. It can also contain elements that can prove toxic but the initial danger is in inhaling the ash. Even if the ash contained absolutely no "toxic" elements, it would still be a hazard.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, the map he used to show the heavy ash fall coverage happens to include almost the entire "breadbasket" crop raising area of the United States. That means, if not mass starvation in the United States, a lot of people around the rest of the world will start starving because we will only be able to feed our own, if that.

I wonder if there is a way to get rid of the ash in the air. Seeing as that’s the biggest killer in this event. That would be my biggest concern to solve first

One thing I'll emphasize about Yellowstone's potential eruptions is: it has numerous Phreatic eruptions since it's last super eruption. Phreatic eruptions are massive steam eruptions due to large volumes of magma interacting with ground water. It will also need to empty it's whole magma chamber to be classified as a super eruption.
