Linus: "I don't like being called Daddy"
Linus's kids: "Father. I have returned from the institution of studies."

I'd like to see this done with the reverse situation of lowest profit videos and potentially what you learned from them in why they didn't do as well.

Can I just say Linus really monetized his own monitizization

The transparency and genuineness of this company and team are what keep me watching every single LTT video. Cheers guys, you are really nailing it.

I was expecting to hate the this video but loved it. The title made me think this was going to be you guys re-watching old videos. I usually find behind the scenes content fascinating.

What I've found is that many times I'll leave literally ANY YouTube video on while I sleep and it'll somehow land on these same streams, or Vsauce Michael counting prime numbers, or Tom Scott $1B driving

Not a lot of YouTubers show the money they gain, this is amazing and very appreciative!

regarding the YT premium revenue being so much higher on long streams, there was a bug that meant anyone who downloaded a vod with YT premium counted as a full 100% watchtime *premium* view for that whole stream, *no matter how long it was* and it worked multiple times, *no matter how many times you downloaded the video.* the spiffing brit highlighted this 'exploit' and showed you could earn thousands and thousands of dollars off this, and it only got fixed within the last 12 months I think. I wonder how much extra revenue was generated on the long streams due to this glitch? maybe not much, as I don't think people were intentionally exploiting it for very long before it got patched

The best part is the fact that the April Fool’s video sponsors *actually* paid for all of the features.

Being that transparent and also being careful about the “logistics” of the LMG is the main reason of why I wanna buy ( and have already bought) your merch. I just want to support the way that you treat your viewers because no one that ”big” have showed us what YT money means. I just hope to see other channels make it as well, just for the diversity.

Once again, I appreciate the transparency that Linus and team allow. It's definitely a reason why I watch them.

I love how honest Linus is with all these things

The amount of times i have fallen asleep watching something like QI, to find my phone paused at the end of a long LTT stream is quite high, having Premium i imagine this is something that does cause quite a bit of income due to the long, un-interrupted playback of a 2 hour stream

I can see why the PC building streams did so well... its always enjoyable and the different camera angles keep it engaging.

Deserve every penny you guys get !
I'm sure everyone here has Probably saved hundreds if not thousands of $ from the videos you make.

The live streams are great to have on in the background when working as it doesnt require as much effort to pay full attention to it. I wonder who else or how much of the demographic of watchers watch it in this way

I actually watched the $500 amd pc build like 5 times. I ended up building it and still use it to this day. Love all the content, 3 years ago I couldn't tell you what the components in my pc were but now I can build one start to finish all thanks to the ltt team.

I remember when Youtubers were scared that they would get banned for showing their revenue. This was a fascinating insight into the behind-the-scenes. I'm sure other YouTubers appreciate it too.

This video is why his other videos did so well. Linus engages with people whether they are watching at home or sitting next to him. No techno mumble jumble, just straight to the point info that is interesting and engaging with a bit of humor thrown in that makes up come back for more!

Considering they put out a video every day for years upon years, the fact that Linus remembers so much specific stuff about every video is amazing.
