For anyone about to start a channel, regardless of whether it is a reaction channel, vlog, or whatever. Before you upload your first video... Make approximately 5 videos before uploading. You can either upload all of them at the same time, or close together. Why?

At first, regardless of your niche, initially yt doesn't know who to put your videos in front of, as it doesn't fully understand who your target audience is. So by making roughly 5 videos, this will help them to determine who your audience is and who to put your videos in front of.

I have a creepypasta narration channel, that is over three yrs old and at the time I didn't know this info, so to begin with, it took ages before I really started getting decent views. I only found out this information just a few months ago. So now I spread the word on this to help others. I am in the process of starting two other channels; one will be a true crime channel and the other will be a reaction channel. I will be implementing this info myself.

I think what people want to know when looking up how to do react vids is: 1) how do we find good vids 2) how do we watch them and film ourselves at the same time (obs) theres different ways, obs or should you export the vids off of yt somehow etc? 3) do we need to add credits? 4) editing out fluff 5) other stuff you haven’t mentioned because we don’t know to ask.

I appreciate this was sponsored by Intel Evo and had no problem with you plugging it throughout, but I was looking forward to your thoughts on Step 8: Editing (ie should we record sound and video separately, what you like to cut, etc) and that entire section was just a commercial. Missed opportunity to provide some insight I think! In any case, thanks for sharing parts of your process.

Hey Joey, thanks for posting this info. Here's a quick message from my eight year old son: "Thank you, I've been wanting to have my own Youtube channel to make reaction videos and your video has helped me a lot."

I upgraded my older Dell i5 metallic laptop, from an HDD to a 500gb Solid state drive, and from 8gb of ram to 16gb of Ram, and from Windows 8 to Windows 10 Pro...its now fast as a bullet no joke. I think my battery gets around 8 hours or so. Nice video bro

I definitely gotta watch this again…..to get tips on how to do a reaction video. How did you get the split screen and you together?

How do we quickly switch to the full screen with us in it vs. full screen of the video we react to? Is there a hot key for it on OBS? Thank you!

I think the time has come for another Attack on Titan Ost reaction video. “Attack on Titan” “Vogel Im Kafig” or “Rittaikidou” would be nice!

Great breakdown, my question is how do you pull up your reaction video? Do you pull it up in a browser and add it as a source in obs? Or do you download it and play it in a media player and add that as a source?

I'm hardly going to invest in lights, cameras, action! before understanding how to make vidz. I'd have shown the version using only what's on one's laptop FIRST before assuming anyone will invest money in something they may or may not be able to do (or do well).

I just purchased the dell xps 13 today for reaction videos! I was using streamyard but my output is so blurry no matter how good it looks! I’m having the toughest time getting a quality video - plugged directly into Ethernet, got the new computer, got a Logitech brio, idk what else to do to get this going! So frustrating. I’m also a little concerned about the lack of ports on the xps13 - I have a hub but have you found that to cause issues with quality?
