They can lie to, back in the 1980s the FBI hooked a plant up to a Lie Detector and determined that the Plant was constantly lying to the questions it was ask.

They are constantly making sounds. It's not from pain, it's not from agony, it's just a thing they do. Once they're cut or once they're dry the water flowing inside and the water pressure changes so the sound changes too.

Recently saw another short with the creator explaining how they protect their stressed, from too much rain in this instance, kale plants from aphids which they said would swarm such stressed plants. I wonder if these ultraonic sounds are what the aphids detect.

This is the equivalent to saying walls can scream because when you damage their structural integrity by slamming them with å sledgehammer, they emit a loud noise. The “scream” is in no way similar to that of a human, a cow, pig or a hen.
