I've welded for years and always did things the same way. It's great to see another welders perspective. I pick up a lot tricks watching your videos. Your videos are good for all welders and a God send to the new welders. A lot of us older guys had to figure it out ourselves and we picked up a lot of bad habits and misconceptions along the way. Keep up the good work. I hope you get a lot of followers and make LOTS of video $$$$. Ps My friend always wanted to learn to weld. I'm now retired and live in a condo so I set up his garage with all my welding equipment. My new fav. pastime is now teaching my buddy and doing a few small projects. All we need now is a beer fridge.

In all my years, I have never seen a person use a torch like you, little or no slag and straight as an arrow, and your welding skills are awesome, a true professional, great videos, keep them coming, Frank T

...I never got past how clean and dead nuts straight the cutting was... I've seen less smother cuts from a band saw. And free hand?!?! Such a small exact flame. _Just_ what was needed.

Taylor, thank you so much for your videos. I'm an amateur and would love to go to welding school part-time, but that would conflict with my day job's schedule. So, I need to get my learning where I can get it.
Thanks so much for sharing your content. I am learning a lot.

"Hesitate at on top then come down to the bottom" I have seen other videos on overhead and saw them do it but it's nice when you actually explain it. Thanks for taking the time for the videos.

I wish I could cut like that. You need to do a video on just making a perfect cut like you do. How you set up your oxygen and acetylene amounts, pre-heating, starting and stopping mid-cut, etc. Awesome skill you have.

Just looking at This video I realise that I don’t know nothing about real welding. But what is important is that I’m willing to learn.
This is a true craftsman at work.

It's really nice to see someone who is experienced and is actually out in the field showing realistic, hands-on tips and demonstration on how to weld. I've only got a couple hours under my belt at home, and this really helps to listen and watch. I'm not trying to make perfection since I'm not working as a welder, but I am just interested in doing the best I can with what I've got. Thanks again!

You sir, you're a real one. One of those bosses I'd take a cut in wages to make it thru a downturn and stay w the outfit.

Thumbs up man…I roll like you. I’m full timer in a heavy, hard and nasty high volume sanitation company. I make good use of 6010 and usually always pre 7018 .👍

I always clean up my torch cuts with a tiger paw before welding regardless of how clean my cut is, any dross left behind from the torch cutting process drawn into your weld will show up on an xray test and will weaken the strength over you weld. I do a lot of work for FPL and their substations and they’re very very picky, if you’re doing custom fabrication for clients and the stuff you’re building isn’t industrial spec. Good video, you’ve gained a subscription 🤘🏼
