Fun fact: the reason most of the clones’ weapons (unsure if this carried over to Empire) have no scopes or sights is because they were built in to the HUD of their helmets. It’s why rangefinders exist. (the antenna that ARCS, commanders, and Rex has)

I know no one cares, but stormtroopers are actually extremely accurate. The first time we saw them was when they slaughtered the crew of the Tantive IV while taking only minimal casualties themselves. During the skirmish onboard the Death Star they were ordered by Grand Moff Tarkin to let the rebels escape so they could track them to their secret base. During the battle of Hoth the rebels were forced to abandon the base the moment Stormtroopers entered. And during the battle of Endor they actually had the upper hand until Chewbacca stole an AT-ST and used it against them.

As a person who's used a scope in VR. I can confirm that hitting a sniper shot from 50-100 Meters is a lot harder to do than it looks in FPS games.
