Today I am sharing 6 choices we made during our build which we would change if we could do it all again! You learn so much every time you undergo a project and these 'regrets' aren't big enough for us to change immediately or at all, but we MIGHT consider changing them in the future!

In the U.S. they sell individual sprayer nozzles/hoses that are installed beside the main tap. A plumber could hook the sprayer up to your existing plumbing under your sink so that you could use it to spray all around your sink. Keep your main faucet, .... just add the sprayer! In the laundry room get the kind of hook that you can find on hotel room doors. They look like a squashed long u-shape and allow the door to open to see out, but keep the door locked at the same time. Most of them seem to be made of brass and attach to the door frame. Instead of a chair, table and plant in your bedroom window space, put in a deep window seat with storage beneath it. A nice, soft and deep cushion and a small tea table would allow two people to sit there with their tea or coffee, plus you would gain valuable storage space. See if a narrow glass transom will fit OVER your front would allow light, but still maintain your privacy.

Hi Kerry, I have the problem you have with the cooker being in the way of the handle of the cupboard. It’s not the greatest but you can get these tiny clear rubber stickers that you put on one of the handles and it stops it from banging and damaging. I know it’s not ideal but it’s pretty discreet and hard to notice and makes a big difference. Try it and see if it helps, if it doesn’t you can just take it off x

Hi kerry.your spice cupboard you could have a half shutter so you can just pull down or up.your front door looks a good safety door.. a sky light would be a good idea.you have a beautiful home xx👍💕🌞🐕

With an incredible view like that, I would've wanted the entire wall to be a window LOL. My in-laws live near the ocean, and can see it from kind of far off like you. When they did their remodel, they added a rooftop deck, with an outdoor table and chairs. There's a spiral staircase leading to it. They frequently go up there to have some coffee or wine and enjoy the view. I don't know the exterior structure of your house/roof, but that would be an amazing thing to add if it's possible.

You can get a small additional tap, they called “handspray pullout”. I think they might do them in black too so it can match your quooker tap xx

You can get a small strap for your cupboard door in the kitchen which only allows you to open so wide to stop the door hitting your oven. By your bedroom window a comfy window seat would look lovey, you could make it so you can lift up the seat for extra storage. What if you varnished over your hand painted units would this prevent chipping? You have a beautiful home x

Maybe put a screen door in the utility room. That way you can open up the main door and let some fresh air in throughout the day. Many homes in the US have screen doors attached to the door frame. I actually have a screen curtain with magnetic edges so they close by themselves.

Qooker do a flex tap now with a pull out end. I’m sure howdens do a in frame kitchen that’s not painted. (Can you tell we’ve just redone our kitchen 😂) xx

Just pop a tea towel over your oven door; will stop that cupboard slamming onto same. X

Hi, have you considered a stable door for the utility room? Available in double glazed options, you would get great ventilation when drying sheets in winter months and condensation from items drying on the wall rack would also be reduced..

You can add a separate sprayer head to either side of tap

Tap/Sink resolution 🤞we are having this discussion at the moment, my husband wants another Quooker tap I want a sprayer so the alternatives are; Kitchen sink pull out sprayer head, so many to choose from, easy to install, can be added to your current set up or alternatively take a look at the Fohen flex everything in one and looks great 😍
