Back in the 1980s, when Regan was president, he Moral Majority came to the forefront of politics. I remember the stories about people using food stamps - which were paper and mailed out every month - were being used to buy extravagant food products like lobsters, steak, and cupcakes. While it's true that exchanging paper food stamps for money did take place, usually at the rate of 50 cents on the dollar, a majority of the people receiving assistance used it for food.

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Republicans today are taking this to the extreme again, and destroying our country with the process.

The photo on-line showing a dark skinned man carrying two geese is that of a public worker removing road kill -- as per his job. And again, I'm pretty sure it wasn't in Springfield.
The photos on-line supposedly showing pets being bbq'd have also been debunked as not being cats and dogs.

I remember being a kid in the 90s and learning about the racist propaganda from the past - from Soviet Russia, from Germany in the 30s, or the Jim Crow South - and thinking "I'm so glad we've moved past that, that people are smarter and more enlightened now."
