Don’t stress about going to X or Y university. I didn’t go to an Ivy League and my first job was at GS in London. Be good at what you’re doing and enjoy your life!

Super solid advice! I had just gone through the Case interview process at an MBB in the fall and this was very accurate to my own experiences :) Thank you for all your videos and everything you share! Love to see more transparency in the process that people only learn in business school

As someone who transitioned out of Industry and into consulting with a major international firm after two years, I can say that these tips are spot on. One thing I would really stress that was briefly mentioned by Taylor is brushing up on your mental math well in advance (2 weeks minimum) of your case interview. You'd be shocked how much your quick percentage skills deteriorate if you aren't using them regularly, even as someone coming from a math heavy industry.

As a junior year business student I'm so glad I found your channel when I did! I'd love to see a video on extra-curriculars if that's something you'd be willing to talk about, maybe some personal examples or how best to apply your personal interests to strengths utilized in consulting

This was such an awesome video Taylor, you actually mentioned you did two internships! Could you make a video about where you interned and your experience in those industries?

Well Taylor you've truly come into your own. Very impressed with your ability to engage with your fans and provide extremely concise and helpful content not to mention leaving them wanting more. Your alma mater would be proud. I especially loved your advise to the 13 year old. Life is meant to be enjoyed especially at that age! Keep up the good work!
On a completely different topic: Rams or Niners?

I am so so so happy I found this channel. Finishing up my bachelor's in management and am going to be a consultant in NYC as well. Looking forward to binging your videos three next few days!

As someone fairly new to this whole ‘management consulting’ thing, your videos are super helpful. My question is, what are some hard skills/technical skills you need to acquire to get into this field?
If possible, can you somehow share your résumé? It will help me a ton to see what a profile of someone who works at a consulting firm looks like.

Please do a video about career progression in consulting! How long does it take to become partner? Work life balance? Compensation? etc.

I can see why you're successful in the business and consulting area. You're well spoken, thorough and have a strong confident presence. Hearing about the case interview and all these interrogation like scenarios in the interview process is just cringy. I've always been intrigued by business, completed my minor in business and even finished an interdisciplinary engineering management undergrad degree (masters in pure mechanical engineering though). The process for engineers can be daunting and extremely stressful with such as personality interviews through Gallup, homework-like tests during in-person interviews, and brainteaser type questions at some heavy-hitter companies. Interesting you mentioned superday interviews....Pratt & Whitney flew me out on-site a couple of times and called them superdays...I didn't realize that was a common title for on-site final interviews. The process of interviewing post-pandemic has been great though, often restrained to an HR screen and simple panel TEAMS calls for an hour or 2 max.

You are very good at explaining things that I can understand. Keep it up!

Great video Taylor.

Would also be interesting to learn how to switch your career into management consulting. I am personally working in tech sales at a startup and wanted to learn how to get into management consulting.

Perhaps you might have some colleagues who have gone with that journey.

Perfect timing for this video as I have my first interview scheduled this week. In the email they only mentioned it being a general screen interview to go over my resume and experiences, so maybe a little different process than what traditionally happens but I’m excited/nervous nonetheless
