It's crazy how xAI was only recently established by Musk and now its a legitimate contender against openAI that has been around for years.

He skirted the question. It is computationally impossible to have multiple simultaneous product directions. Just look at how Sora is now mediocre compared to even open source models. That is why ai is anyone's game, which would worry any large ai company.

intresting how he said "they are focused on building things like chatGPT", seems like they pivoting from being the company that alone creates AGI to focusing on products instead of just models. They may have lost confidence in their ability inovate faster than others
