3 Tips to Help Your Students Plan a Personal Narrative

Sometimes getting students to write a personal narrative can feel like pulling teeth - choosing the topic, organizing the story, adding detail… your students may seem stumped! So, how do you get them to successfully write a personal narrative?
In this video, I’ll tell you how having students plan out the personal narrative ahead of time can save lots of time later on and also help build in detail from the beginning.

Hi there! My special educatiom students have difficulty zooming in to the small moment. They write a lot about the very beginning, for instance we were on the plane.... Then they write a lot of events leading up...lots of details not directly related to the "MOMENT."

They struggle with spelling what they hear. This really gets some to get stuck!
