SOLVED: Fix my computer! USB ports not working and video is not displaying

Can anyone help? I understand that it’s an old shitty computer and it’s most likely my motherboard, but I just want to find out how to get this to work!!!!! Does anyone have any suggestions or have you ever seen this before? Thank you!

Edit: Solved: The Motherboard of the computer was completely fried. If you can tell in the video, my video card fan was working, but the CPU FAN was not moving at all. I suspect that the fan possibly stopped working and over heated the motherboard. If this is happening to you, try buying a new motherboard (make sure it's the proper fit for your case, most are ATX or mATX). I ended up buying a completely new motherboard, cpu, cpu fan, and power supply, and everything works great. Take a look at your computer and see if your fan is moving, chances are, your motherboard either overheated or is just completely broken.

hey if you guys are having trouble still, turn off your pc take out all your sticks of ram until there is one remaining put it back in and switch on your pc. hope this works! if it doesn’t i recommend getting your motherboard checked out

SOLUTION: Yep IT WORKED, took out Graphics card (if installed), took out Cmos Battery, took out Ram. Left pc off for about 3/5 min, then switched the pc on a7 left it on for about 6 seconds- it obviously beeped that's fine and that also proves your Motherboard is fine, then switched it off. plugged everything back that is ram, cmos battery & Graphics card. All USB ports was fine thereafter. weird fix but yes it worked 100%

Have a problem where the usb components dont work but the cpu, gpu and ram work yet there is no output being displayed at all

Thank God for this comment section. Had the same issue, took out both ram sticks, placed one in the A2 slot and bam. Saved me a headache ❤

I just built mine and it’s doing the same thing. What I didn’t realize is that I didn’t check the motherboards cpu compatibly

i had the same problem. how i fixed it was i remove my cpu cooler and turns out my cpu wasn’t placed properly so i removed it then replaced it and now my pc works fine.

SOLVED: IF YOUR GPU FAN STILL SPINS TAKE TO STICKS OF RAM OUT THEN TRY TURN IT ON

If your processor is new gen, the motherboard probably needs a BIOS update! Take your motherboard to the closest tech store, they can do that!

Unplug and fully take out the graphics card then wait a couple seconds then plug it back in then turn off your power supply switch then turn it back on then it should work

Well in my case the cpu fan IS working... and this is an old build too so I know the cpu is compatible... i’m lost :/

Just built my New PC and had same problem.... my issue was i did not put the RAM all the way in. So the motherboard was saying it had no RAM installed. I re installed the RAM and now the usb ports work fine, and also the water cooler pump is now working as well for me. So if its a new PC CHECK UR RAM GUYS AND GIRLS THAT COULD BE THE REASON. THE RAM FEEDS THE CPU AND WITHOUT IT NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK.

I have LITERALLY the same problem, the motherboard's rgb is working, both cpu and graphics card are working, but neither usb nor display are not working and there's no way to turn the pc off

My problem is that I’m not getting display to my monitor but all lights and fans are on, my graphics card works too. I’ve already tried a different one but I still have the same issue

Hey everyone if u got a new motherboard and this is happening ur cpu might not be compatible from the starts u have to use a older versions to get it up then u can use ur cpu

i had only one ram i removed that cleaned the dust and put back in first slot closer to chip and it worked. thank you all for commenting you helped me 👍

I got a problem where everything works but when i get to the login screen non of my usbs don't work

2 ram sticks
Turned PC off, Took 1 ram out, powered on. Monitor worked!
Alternated between ram sticks and got full ram back
