Immanuel Kant, Prolegomena | The Prolegomena And The First Critique | Philosophy Core Concepts

This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.

This Core Concept video focuses on Immanuel Kant's Prolegomena To Any Future Metaphysics and examines his discussion in the Preface that outlines the relationship between the Prolegomena and his earlier published Critique of Pure Reason. The Prolegomena as a work addresses some of the obscurity that Kant admits is present in the Critique, and is structured in an analytic rather than synthetic style of presentation

My videos are used by students, lifelong learners, other professors, and professionals to learn more about topics, texts, and thinkers in philosophy, religious studies, literature, social-political theory, critical thinking, and communications. These include college and university classes, British A-levels preparation, and Indian civil service (IAS) examination preparation

These lectures on Emmanuel Kant are fantastic!

Dr. Sadler could not have produced them at a better time! Currently I am writing on Immanuel Kant in my dissertation. And I’m finding these short discussions to be a helpful, clarification and guide!

I can only speak for myself but in my introduction to philosophy we read parts of the prolegomena (not many parts mind you) in contrast to my modern philosophy course which skipped and went right to the critique. I am sure there is a time constraint as there always is but I always found that strange but your explanation makes sense. Thank you.
