While you were at it you should have tested them for accuracy with the vacuum gauge tester. You'd be surprised how some are off. If your car runs with idle mixture screws turned in it could be running off the main circuit id the throttle blades are too far open and exposing more of the throttle bore and beyond the transfer slots.

Holley power valves have a vacuum rating; that needs to be a part of the test procedure.

It's about 200$ to 250$ but from one carburetor guy to another, an after market wide-band o2 sensor will make a world of difference in tuning your engine. You'll think your engine is good but when you're off a couple jet sizes, the performance will be night and day.
