Farmer Groups – GIZ Green Innovation Centre India 2018
Показать описание
FARMER GROUPS - Collective business operations and learning strengthen farmers. Together they are strong.
As a structural innovation we are promoting farmer groups at different levels. Collective business operations like bulk procurement of inputs or marketing increases the bargaining power of rural agripreneurs.
Starting our work in 2015, we support farming enterprises and businesses along potato and tomato based value chains in four selected districts of the Indian states Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
With its special initiative “ONE WORLD - No Hunger”, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) aims at addressing poverty and hunger. As part of this initiative the Green Innovation Centre India is establishing innovations in the agri-food sector, increasing the income of farmers, employment and improving the regional food supply.
The project involves partners from all sectors (private companies, civil society, research institutions) and is implemented in cooperation with the Indian Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
